A 2021 Welcome
My Background
I was an Army brat living overseas for the first 7 years of my life, and then moved back to the States and grew up in Fairfax City, Virginia. I'm now in Virginia's beautiful Shenandoah Valley.
I'm a proud James Madison University alum, so it's wonderful living close to the university I love so much which is located in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
I guess you could say I'm a bit of a late bloomer, because I started my photography business just as many of my friends all around me were retiring.
I help transform people's images of themselves from "I hate having my picture taken!" to "Wow, is that really me?! I love these photos!" I would love to play a role in your transformative journey.

Why Photography?
Because of my family's extensive travels early in my life, my father took thousands of photos and Super 8 video over the years. One of his earliest cameras was a Polaroid, and I remember, as a five-year-old, being fascinated with watching the instant images slowly coming to life. It was magical. Video introduced me to live storytelling, and the whole production concept captured me from a very young age, which led me to becoming a huge movie buff.
Later in life, my father-in-law introduced me to even more photographic magic, and when he died, I inherited his camera gear, which catapulted me into my photography hobby, now full-time business. When I'm asked, "What do you like photographing best?" my answer is always, "Whatever I'm photographing at the moment!"
